A total of 870 bison were counted, which is fewer than the last year. According to the report, this decrease is due to one of the herds migrating to the outskirts of Knyszy\u0144ska Forest. Free migration between the Bia\u0142owie\u017ca and Knyszy\u0144ska Forests has long been one of the key principles of European bison conservation in northeastern Poland.
