Kamila Plis specializes in population ecology, with a particular focus on the genetic variability of large mammal species, including game species. During her time at the Mammal Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, she participated in a project examining the impact of landscape structure on the genetics of the European roe deer population (Capreolus capreolus). She also completed her PhD on the phylogeography of the European roe deer in Central and Eastern Europe, considering the hybridization with the Siberian roe deer (Capreolus pygargus). Currently, she is actively developing her skills as a Research Project Manager by participating in international training programs, such as the "V4 Training for Research Project Managers" (Brussels, 2024). She collaborates on the preparation of research grant applications, combining her scientific expertise with administrative experience. Since 2013, she holds a basic hunting license and remains an unaffiliated hunter.
