Bestween 25 and 27 February 2010 an international conference “European bison conservation in the Białowieża Forest” took place at the Mammal Research Institute PAS. The conference was organised by the MRI PAS in cooperation with the Białowieża National Park, Regional Directorate of the State Forests and the Green Lungs of Poland Foundation. The conference aimed at summarising the achievements of the Life Nature Bison conservation project.

The conference was attended by more than 100 participants from Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Belaruss, Germany, Netherlands, Great Britain, Canada and South Africa.
