Portal Springer Animal Sciences has included an information about an article by K. Schmidt and D. Kuijper that has appeared in recent issue of the Mammal Research. The review paper introduces a new look at the “landscape of fear” phenomenon in the predator-prey interactions attracting attention to the fact that potential prey animals in some environments may not only show a lack of avoidance but also prefer the sites of highest predation risk.
