36th European Mustelid Colloquium/Białowieża Ecology Conference 2026

We are delighted to announce that the next edition of the Białowieża Ecology Conference
will take place in 2026 and will be dedicated to the ecology of mustelids.

This event will also host the 36th European Mustelid Colloquium (EMC), co-organised by us—a scientific conference
with nearly seventy years of tradition, organised by the https://www.facebook.com/VincentWildlifeTrust.
This UK-based organisation, established in 1975, focuses on the conservation of threatened mammals through scientific
research, habitat restoration, monitoring, and public engagement.
The EMC conference has been held in various locations across Europe for decades, successfully bringing together researchers studying mustelids—one of the largest and most diverse groups of carnivorous mammals—as well as their ecological roles and conservation.

We hope that this joint initiative—36th EMC/BEC 2026—will provide a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange, bringing together experts in primeval forest ecology with specialists working on the biology and ecology of small and medium-sized carnivores.
