“The researchers of the Mammal Research Institute Polish Academy of Sciences support creating ecological corridors between forests and establishing a better monitoring of roe deer and red deer populations. According to the scientists, these are the most important action points in order to protect lynx in Poland. These recommendations were submitted to the Ministry of Environment as a part of a report “Active lynx conservation in Poland” which was prepared by a group lead by Dr. Krzysztof Schmidt from MRI PAS.
