We are happy to announce that Dr. Magdalena Niedziałkowska won a prestigous award under the second edition of the POMOST programme contest by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP). The award of 478 800 zł (around 120 000 euro) will enable Dr. Niedziałkowska to realise a research project: “Mechanisms of the long-term maintanace of a narrow contact zone of two phylogeographic linages of the bank vole Myodes glareolus in NE Poland”.

The aim of the POMOST programme is to help the best scientists, who bring up small children, to return to a high profile scientific work. More information on the programme and the list of awarded scintists are available on the FNP’s web site.
