Four young researchers from the IBS (Kamila Plis, Tomasz Borowik, Tomasz Podgórski, Leif Sönnichsen) spent last two weeks of August visiting the Russian Research Institute of Game Management and Fur Farming (VNIIOZ) in Kirov, Russia. The visit in the frame of BIOGEAST project aimed at expanding cooperation within collaborative project on large scale genetic variation of ungulates (including European and Asian parts of Russia). The guests from IBS were also introduced to the research activities of VNIIOZ, presented their own research projects, and discussed possibilities for collaborative project on the ecology of wild boar in the Kirov area.
