Research profile

Agnieszka's main research interests lie in ecological and behavioural regulating populations of rodents (mainly: beavers) and carnivores (mainly: American mink). Her MSc study investigated fluctuaction of a beaver (Castor fiber) populations and habitat and foraging preferences of the species in NE Poland. Currently, she is participating in the project investigating the influence of introduced American mink (Neovison vison) on the native fauna and monitoring of the effectiveness of mink reduction and colonization router of the area of four national parks in Poland.

  • "Adaptation during invasion and the impact of ranch escapee American mink on feral populations".
  • „Ecological and genetical basis for control of the American mink population number: compesatory reaction of the invasive alien predator species reduce the numbers".
  • Project Coordinator of LIFE09 NAT/PL/000263 project: „Ochrona ptaków wodnych i błotnych w pięciu parkach narodowych - odtwarzanie siedlisk i ograniczanie wpływu inwazyjnych gatunków"; Project acronym: Polish Important Bird Areas.
