Research profile

The main interests of Ewa Komar are population and behavioral ecology as well as ecophysiology of small and medium-sized mammals and bats. During her master's study she investigated the population structure and habitat preferences of water vole (Arvicola terrestris) and population dynamics of water vole and American mink in a prey -predator relation. Currently she is running her PhD project on the energy resources management in parti - coloured bat males (Vespertilio murinus). In her study she uses a combination of a field work and experiments under laboratory conditions.
